When you join Students Nightlife, the last thing on your mind should be any concerns about security. You want to meet someone not worry about your personal details.

Rest assured we never provide details that do not appear in your personal profile. Here are some of the measures we take:

1. Your email address is not revealed to other members
2. Your last name is keep safe
3. We FULLY comply with the Data Protection Act
4. Potential scammers are filtered out by IP address and advert/ message screening
5. Security alerts detected by our system or members are acted upon immediately

• Change your password on a regular basis and ensure that you log out correctly when using public computers.
• Don't divulge personal information such as addresses, surnames or telephone numbers in your online personals advert.
• Be honest about who you are and what you're seeking from your networking experience - both in your profile advert and in your mails to other members.
• Remember - not everything you see and hear is true. In real life a member may not look/act exactly like he/she does in their photograph and profile.
• Keep a record of your conversations and save any emails that are not sent through our system (or any IM chats) for future reference.
• Proceed with caution if someone pledges undying love after only a few mails or chats - although we do have a comprehensive Fraud Department, it's important to be vigilant at all times for scammers that have slipped through the net.
• Remember that the video chat rooms are uncensored - Students Nightlife cannot be held responsible for incidents that occur inside these rooms.
• Block abusers - we highly recommend that you block any member that behaves in an abusive manner and report the behaviour to us at: customer.services@bone-fish.com
• Please also report those that are advertising modelling opportunities, etc, or those that attempt to sell external services such as escort services.
• If you decide to meet a member in person, always meet in a public place - NEVER meet in private for your first date! What's more, always let someone know where you're going, what time you'll be back and how they can contact you.
• Take out a paid subscription - although we do manual checks on members, free online "dating" subscriptions provide a slightly greater opportunity for the presence of potentially precarious individuals as they are not obliged to give out any certified information that officially identifies them (i.e. credit card details). By subscribing and interacting with other paid members, you're assured a higher level of security than if you merely took part in a free online networking experience.
• Guard your financial information and beware of solicitation. Never offer financial advice or charitable contributions. Notify us immediately if another member sends you links to a pay-to-view site or similar, or makes requests/demands for money - albeit for plane tickets, family assistance issues, etc.
